'Angels & Demons' Video: Science vs. Religion

Earlier this weekend, reports started flying that the Vatican might issue a boycott against Angels & Demons, the new Dan Brown adaptation directed by Ron Howard. The Catholic Church was none too pleased when Howard and Tom Hanks made The Da Vinci Code, and as it relates to this film, the Church denies Howard's request to do some location shooting in Vatican City.

Not surprisingly, this isn't subject matter the Vatican takes a shine to all that often, especially when it's on this big a scale. In case you have been in a Da Vinci Cave and don't know the story, all you really need to know is four Cardinals, all in line to the recently deceased Pope, have been killed by an assassin from the shady Illuminati. Wouldn't that throw the Catholic Church for a loop?

There's a new feature featuring Howard and Hanks that further explores the rift between science and religion that underscores the action in the film.

Angels & Demons will be in theaters on May 15th.
