David Letterman Ties the Knot

This past Thursday, David Letterman finally got married to Regina Lasko, the mother of his five-year-old son. The nuptials too place in Teton County, Montana, where the late night host has owned a ranch for years.

"Let me give you the tale of the tape on this," Letterman told his stunned audience on Monday. "Regina and I began dating in February of 1986, and I said, 'Things are going pretty good, let's see what happens in about ten years.'"

"They say, 'Well, why did it take you so long to get married,' and the answer is we wanted to make sure we had the pre-nup juuuust right," Dave joked.

"I had avoided getting married pretty good for 23 years, and I secretly felt that men who were married admired me, like I was the last of the gunslingers."
