Here's our first look at Where the Wild Things Are in action. We've
seen some pictures from the adaptation of one of the world's best loved children's books, but
until now, we haven't seen any clips or a trailer.

One thing we can definitely say is this movie appears to be very Spike Jonez: It's way out
there, but somehow retains a real childlike innocence. Of course, this is only the trailer, so
who knows if Jonze will be able to pull it off over the course of a whole movie.
They made an animated version of Maurice Sendak's story in the 1970s, and I seem to recall both
reading the book and seeing that animated movie in school when I was a kid. Wouldn't it be
something if second graders got to watch a Spike Jonze movie in class? Heavy.

I can NOT wait to see this movie. Childhood favorite of mine. I even rocked a t-shirt until a few years ago....I gotta find where I put that damn thing. So thrilled that Spike Jonze is doing it too.
