New 'Ice Age' Trailer: Scrat Takes a Lover

No matter what they've got in theaters, there is always talk abut the latest Pixar film. Lately, that trend has embraced DreamWorks, too, with better, more entertain products like Kung Fu Panda and this weekend's Monsters vs. Aliens. But you don't hear all that much about Fox, even though the studio's big animated franchise, Ice Age, has made a billion dollars around the world. The third film in the series, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, will be in theaters July 1st, roughly the least icy time of the year. Wishful thinking, mayhaps. I've always been a Scrat fan, but I'm not sure we need Scratte, a love interest for the film's mascot. There's a new trailer for Ice Age, which reminded me that this movie is coming out in 3-D. I guess all the animated movies are heading that way.
