Monday, March 2, 2009 at 4:07PM Comedians Featured in New 'Vanity Fair' Pictorial
The latest issue of Vanity Fair has a great pictorial called
Comedy's New Legends. That's overstating it a bit; can Bill Hader or Jonah Hill really
be considered legends at this point?

Forgetting the lavished on praise in the title for a minute, it is an inspired set of pictures,
featuring Paul Rudd, Russell Brand, Amy Poehler and Will Arnett, Hader, Hill, Jason Bateman, Anna Faris,
Leslie Mann, Jason Segel, Seth Rogen, and Danny McBride. My only complaint is that, apparently,
if you don't work with Judd Apatow, you're not funny. I think Poehler and Arnett are the only
ones without a credit in an Apatow production.
Usually, the Vanity Fair shoots feature the work of Annie Leibovitz, but this time, she
shares the spotlight with Norman Jean Roy, Marc Seliger, Art Streiber, Sam Jones, and Patrick
Demarchelier.

i'm gonna buy it just for Amy Poehler & Will Arnett : )
I love Will Arnett, but I've always felt like Amy Poehler was a hack. Just a one note comedienne and I didn't like the note the first time I heard it. She's very Cheri Oteri in my eyes. BTW, that's not a compliment.
I guess you prefer MY brand, of smug, self-satisfied, anti-American rants, er, humor, Joe; Religulous got hosed by the Oscars, pass it on!
