Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:40PM Robert Patrick Interested in 'Terminator 5' Return
When
McG first presented the hypothetical situation in which the T-1000 could be a prominent
player in the fifth Terminator movie, it was one of those great sequel ideas that legitimately made sense.
Given the future/past nature of that franchise, it's not just compehensible, but it's also kind of necessary. Or at
least, you could make that case.

McG had said he spoke to
Robert Patrick about the possibility of appearing in the fifth movie and answered the
question of how he could pull that off even though Patrick is 15 years older. The idea is that Patrick would play
the scientist who created the morphing Terminator in his own, more youthful image. And now Patrick tells FEARNet that he has, in fact, talked to the director about the idea.
"I'm interested...I had no idea that he thought about that," the actor said. "But we saw each other and he talked
to me about it, so we'll see what happens."
You might think that Patrick would look to avoid Terminator since it's the role that has most clearly
defined his career. But he seems to have put it into a good perspective.

"The sci-fi genre, and specifically that character, is something I'm very proud of. It's what broke me out big to the world. And it's a character that I've lived with ever since, and I kind of carry it with me everywhere I go, for good or bad. So it's obviously something that's very dear to me and real special to me."I hope it happens. It's a great setup for a T5 subplot that could tie a few things together. And who isn't a Robert Patrick fan? In the meantime, we'll see what McG can do with the series when Terminator Salvation opens in May.

this would be sick. this is actually a very good idea. lets hope salvation is good enough for a fifth.
Although i like the idea of continuity this is wrong for two reasons:
1. Skynet should NOT have human scientists !
2. T-1000 is supposed to be liquid metal i.e. not tied to any specific form/appearance
Makes sense, and if a human did crate T-1000 why not a line of code that says look like this when not mission necessary to look like something else.
lastly, Skynet not have human scientists. Why not? who says all humans agree with humanities survival. I will defer to starwars logic of machines not being able to think creatively, but logically. Employing human scientists make sense, and is an easy write in.
Humans makes alot of sense as scientists because a computer is only as good as the information fed into it,so with basic info fed into skynet stating that human scientist having a higher IQ level, could produce a prototype of an ultimate Terminator makes all the sense in the world.
Besides it's all fun now "if u paid attention to the story in Terminator 1 and how the terminator came into exist ace "at the end of the movie" the whole movie series don't make sense cause in part 2 they showed that everything that cyberdine systems was based off was the chip and the hand "both of which came from the 1st crushed ternimator from part 1"
So how can something come from the future but was never made at all before that time!
Have fun with the series "I am"
Peace
