It's a good time to be a fan of Watchmen. Twenty-something years
ago, the costumed heroes kind of reinvented the wheel in the comic book game, and though turning the story into a
film was long believed too difficult a challenge, it's now the movie with the biggest non-summer spotlight all
year.

People who have never read the comic really have no idea what they're in for, but if you've read it a time or two
(or more), you can't wait to see how close it comes to the real thing. And speaking of approximations, no
blockbuster movie would be complete without merchandising, so take a gander at the DC Direct Watchmen
figures over at Entertainment Earth.
They've got a few varieties - action figures, scale figures, busts, bobbleheads...OK, no bobbleheads - as well as a
few other bad-ass collectibles. One note: For some reason, the Dr. Manhattan stuff isn't really up to speed on the
website. You can find pictures of the finished product, but the actual displays of Nuclear Tobias Fünke are
faceless.
