Things certainly have lined up well for Megan Fox. To begin with, she
was born with those genes. Well done. And now her career is become nearly as enviable. The Transformers starlet has inked two new flicks, according to
The Hollywood
Reporter.

The big news is that Fox will join the cast of Jonah Hex, an adaptation of the
left-of-center Western comic book first published by DC back in the 1970s. It took all sorts of unusual twists and
turns, and don't expect the movie to be on the straight and narrow, either. Fox will star opposite Josh
Brolin and John Malkovich playing a "gun-wielding beauty and love
interest of Hex (Brolin), a scarred bounty hunter tracking a voodoo practitioner (Malkovich) who wants to raise an
army of undead to liberate the South."
Fox's other signing is for the underwater adventure, Fathom. There were hints about Megan starring in this
film, also a comic book adaptation, when its author, Michael Turner, passed away last year. She'll play Aspen, an
aquatic humanoid who can control water. Now that's a cool trick. Unless you're Moses.
Apparently, Fox has been a fan of the comic since it debuted over a decade ago, even seeking out Turner at one
point to try to find out who had the rights to the project. It will be distributed by Fox Atomic, and here's a
timely side note: Fox and her ex-fiance, Brian Austin Green, will serve as co-producers. That'll be a fun first
production meeting, huh?
It remains to be seen whether or not Fox really is a star. She sells men's magazines, sure, because she's easy to
look at. But contrary to popular opinion, beauty alone has never been the critical ingredient in a female movie
star's success. At this point, no disrespect meant, that's about all Fox has shown us. Can she shoulder her own
sci-fi comic book movie?

I'm just wondering if this is your first KISS themed headline?
It is. And hopefully the last.
