Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 11:19PM Unsettling New 'Pandorum' Trailer
Please bear in mind that when I say this new trailer for Pandorum reminds me of the first Alien, I'm in no way comparing one film against another. I'm just saying that there are surface resemblances between the two, and the first thing that came to mind while watching it was Ridley Scott's masterpiece. Even if it weren't a masterpiece, it would have still been the first thing that crept into my mind.

I mean, all terrorized-crew-in-space movies ought to aspire to be Alien or Aliens anyway, so perhaps that's the desired effect. At the very least, Pandorum now has my attention, and isn't that what trailers are supposed to do?
I'm a big Ben Foster fan after his impressive 2007 work in 30 Days of Night and 3:10 to Yuma, and Dennis Quaid is usually very reliable. Different kind of role for him, though, so that's good to see.
Check out the trailer and let me know what you think:

Somehow, I don't think it will be nearly as good as Alien.
i never watched the Alien but the 1st scene reminded me of a french movie called Dante 01
maybe it will be at least as good as event horizon. that movie is creepy man.
I think Event Horizon is a better target than Alien for this, and Event Horizon is definitely as creepy as "hell in space" movies go.
Reavers, I vote that there reavers.

Yeah more Event Horizon than Alien
