Friday, March 6, 2009 at 1:57AM Chuck Norris Flick 'Missing in Action' Being Remade
How did it take this long? In fact, it might have taken too long. But we're going to get a
remake of the Chuck Norris action classic, Missing in Action. I think this one goes all the way back to before he started
wearing that embarrassing toupee. And, thankfully, before he started rehashing Turner & Hooch.

If you haven't heard of it, Missing in Action is pretty much what you'd think it would be. It's about a
former POW who returns to Vietnam to blast fellow American soldiers out of imprisonment about a decade after the
war ended. It probably won't surprise you to learn that the new version of the movie will be set in Iraq.
Norris isn't in the new one, at least not returning as Col. James Braddock. Vince McMahon's WWE Films is behind
the remake, so this project has John Cena written all over it. Or it would if the movie were heading to theaters.
Reuters emphasizes that WWE is teaming up with MGM to release it on DVD.
Cena is one of McMahon's top wrestlers, and his second film, 12 Rounds will be released in theaters next
month. Personally, I'd rather see "Stone Cold" Steve Austin" get one more shot, but it's doubtful that will happen
since he isn't on the active roster anymore. So because this is being billed as a DVD-only release, that means
McMahon and company will groom another wrestler within the organization who doesn't have quite the drawing power
Cena does at this point.
And in a related story, Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of
surprise.
