Because of the success of the awful Alvin and the Chipmunks, we're going to get
another bucket of warm piss with the same characters this Christmas. $350 million worldwide, kids. That kind of
money doesn't lie. And just to be safe, we're going to get a Tom & Jerry movie, too, plus Yogi Bear.

And now the news just got really bad. I mean, at least at some point people liked the characters we just
named. But Marmaduke? Really? I think I'd rather see another Garfield movie.
Fox has hired Tom Dey (Failure to Launch) to bring the long-running funny papers staple to the big screen.
Marmaduke is a big slobbering Great Dane, like Bill Fagerbakke from Coach. OK, he's not Danish, but it's
the best I could do on short notice. It was either Fagerbakke or Denmark's legendary silent film star Valdemar Psilander.
Beyond the slobbering dog bit, I don't know much about Marmaduke. He used to endorse heartworm medicine, so keep
your fingers crossed that that little nugget makes it into the movie. We don't know yet whether the new Marmaduke
movie will be live action, CGI, a mix of the two, or entirely inconsequential.

I can only hope Family Circus:The Motion Picture is on its way! Little Billy, PJ, Dolly, Jeffy and the hilarious ghosts 'Not Me' and 'Who Dunnit' are all ready for their close ups. Who knows, maybe they could work the kids into a remake of 'M' or something.
Well, that would be special. The Keane kids getting picked off by Peter Lorre.
That CAN'T be a real Marmaduke strip- that caption is actually almost kind of funny, clearly a violation of that strip's "standards"...
You are correct. We embellished.
The ridiculousness of this piece of news is astonishing. You know, I understand Garfield, I understand Yogi Bear, I understand the Chipmunks. At least they were semi-entertaining tv shows from my childhood. But we're talking about MARMADUKE, here. Possibly the unfunniest comic strip ever. What is the world coming too?
Well, if you're asking me what the world is coming to, then I would say a Funky Winkerbean live action adaptation is only a few years away.
Finally, another role Matthew Lillard MIGHT be able to play (besides Shaggy)!
That caught me completely off guard. I guess there's one person happy they're making a Scream IV, huh?
