Friday, March 6, 2009 at 12:16AM Robin Williams to Have Heart Surgery
After taking the rest of this week off to relax following an episode of shortness of breath,
Robin Williams has been admitted to a Miami hospital so he can
undergo heart surgery. The 57-year-old comedian -
who, frankly, is lucky his heart didn't explode in the early 1980s - has postponed the remainder of his comedy
tour while he recovers and receives treatment.

Williams was ramping up a stand-up show that would have eventually made it to Broadway; the 80-city tour had
played 11 dates in the previous three weeks when Williams took his leave. A spokesman for the comedian and Oscar
winner says his tour will resume in the fall.
"I'm so touched by everyone's support and well wishes," Williams said in a statement. "This tour has been amazing
fun and I can't wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up."
Mork will next be seen in Night at the Museum: Not to Be Confused with Night at the Roxbury this Memorial Day weekend.
