Watch the 'Watchmen' Fan Films

Suppose you want to see Watchmen this weekend but you've kind of figured out it's going to mean waiting in a long line to see an even longer movie. Want an alternative? Well, they don't have the budget of Zack Snyder's version, but the internet is full of Watchmen fan films, many of which were borne out of necessity: For a long time, it didn't look like we'd ever get the real thing. Not all of these have great production values, of course, but there are a couple in here worth checking out, particularly the first one, which creatively uses the original comic to tell its story. There's an awful lot of Rorschach here, as you might have predicted, so if you can't get enough of his charm and wit, you've come to the right place. Also of note: The last four videos are one lengthy film split up. It's missing the first chapter, which Fan Cinema Today says is because it contained a copyrighted song.
