Dakota Fanning Now a 'New Moon' Bloodsucker

It's been a possibility for about a month, and it looked like a probability when we reported that she was also joining the cast of the musical bio-pic, Runaways, but now it's a certainty. Dakota Fanning will be one of new vampires in this fall's Twilight sequel, New Moon. People reports that the 15-year-old veteran of over 20 films will play Jane, "a sinister vampire with an angelic exterior who works for the Volturi." She's done sinister before. Remember the terrible Hide and Seek? Everyone's heard about her bad girl turn in Hounddog, but not too many people have seen it. The film gets underway next month in Toronto, and Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie in the series, confirmed to People, "We did just get the script. We're shooting the rest of the films back to back." Now, we had heard there would be a gap between New Moon and Eclipse, maybe a month or two. Maybe they've whitled that down or maybe that space is close enough to be considered back-to-back by Reed. New Moon will be released this November, and Eclipse is currently slated for next summer.
