Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 5:37PM Rosario Dawson Looks Easy in 'Complex'
I know it hasn't been the most popular choice, but for about five years now, I've stood by my
vote for Rosario Dawson as the big screen Wonder Woman. She's not the lily-white Megan Fox, but she can act, I'm
sure she could do the action, and she's got a fairly Amazonian quality, and I mean that as a compliment. Don't
know if it could ever happen, but that's where I stand: Vote Rosario for Wonder Woman.
Anyway, Dawson is featured in a smokin' new pictorial in Complex Magazine this month, and role playing is on the menu.

Her one-time Sundance flick, Explicit Ills, is finally out in limited release this weekend. She was also really good in Seven Pounds, disarmingly so, and that film will be on DVD at the end of the month. We got a recent update from her about Sin City 2, so if you're a fan of the Frank Miller, that one may be on the way next year. We'll see.
In the meantime, enjoy Rosario Dawson....

I concur re: Dawson as Wonder Woman. According to mythology, the Amazons were from somewhere close to what is now Iran, so her skin tone should be darker. And after seeing Dawson in Sin City, I'm pretty convinced she take me apart with her bare hands.
But there is more going on here than simple visual pillaging for mood board inspiration. Elbaz’s work, for example, was inspired by a meeting with United Nations officials to discuss potential projects for the brand in sub-Saharan Africa. As for von Furstenberg, back in March she co-hosted the “Women in the World” summit in New York, which included Hillary Clinton, Meryl Streep and female micro-financing collectives from Nigeria to Liberia.
