Pineapple Express co-stars James Franco and
Danny McBride will team up again for Universal's Your Highness, a
medieval fantasy comedy co-written by McBride. Their Pineapple
director, David Gordon Green, will sit behind the camera.

Rope of Silicon says that Franco and McBride will play "two spoiled and
arrogant princes" who have to save their family and kingdom from the
clutches of an evil wizard. That's a pretty good setup for these two guys,
who completely stole scenes from Seth Rogen in Pineapple Express. I
guess Franco would play the straight man? Not really sure how that would
play out.
The film is zooming into production, with a start date of July 20th in
Belfast, Northern Ireland, which would more than likely mean we're about 12
months away from seeing this in theaters. Your Highness might be a summer comedy, but
because Pineapple actually faded away really quickly after its
opening weekend, only making $46 million after its $41 million debut, I
think the odds are better that it'll be a late spring release.
The timing for the project couldn't be better; Franco is coming off great
reviews and a Golden Globe nomination for his body of work in 2008 and
McBride is suddenly one of the rising names in comedy, thanks to some
memorable roles last year and his HBO series, East Bound and Down.
