Holy Historical Logos, Batman!
Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 2:46PM
Batman has proven to be a venerable and versatile hero over the past seventy years or so. Solo or with Robin, campy or dark and disturbed, perhaps no other comic book character has been as successful through as many iterations as The Caped Crusader.

To underscore all the changes he's undergone over the years, artist Rodrigo Rojas put together this video showing the different Batman logos for the various movies, comics, and TV shows that have helped build the character's impressive body of work.
I hadn't really thought about it, but there are quite a few variations on a very simplistic design.

wow, that last one was superman and batman vs predator and aliens. How did I not see that smashup happening?
I thought the Dark Knight Returns, Batman Beyond and Batman Begins logos were all supercool. Its a sweet design in almost any form though, definitely the best mainstream comic out there. Can't wait for Neil Gaiman's "What Ever Happened to the Caped Crusader?"
the worst was the Carmine Infantino logo of the sixties
