'Terminator Salvation' Officially PG-13

Last summer, Terminator Salvation director McG told the crowd at Comic Con that Warner Bros. wouldn't interfere with his vision of the film. "I’ve been given their blessing to make the picture…and if it’s a rated R picture, then that’s that.” Only that's not that. The movie's going to be PG-13. I think there are a couple of culprits: Moon Bloodgood's topless scene and Dr. Manhattan's blue meanie. Watchmen was rated R, which it kind of needed to be, and it hasn't exactly been a soaring success for Warner Bros. It's possible that the studio was holding out to see how well Watchmen did before making a decision on Terminator. Of course, the previous three films in this series have all been rated R, so this may be viewed as something of a cop-out by the studio, a financial decision instead of an artistic one. The R-rated version will almost certainly be restored on the DVD, but is this a necessary move? Probably not. But hey, here's good news: If your name is John Connor or Sarah Connor, you can get a free Pizza Hut pizza on May 21st. That should ease the pain of the sanitizied Terminator.

Why would anyone want to see a heavily edited kid friendly version of Terminator Salvation? Sorry but I think I'll skip this piece of garbage...and this is coming from a HUGE Terminator fan. I'm so effing pissed right now. The irony of this whole thing is the first 3 movies were rated R and now they decide to make a new Terminator film showing the actual war and they make it a safe for the kiddies PG-13? I'm so angry that I might not even rent the so called R version that they will no doubt release. Fuck McG Fuck Sony Fuck Warner Bros. and Fuck Pizza Hut!

If a pair of tits were the only reason it would've been rated R then obviously theres not going to be a whole lot of action to it. Sure it'll have explosions, and poor souls flying in the air, but it won't have the kind of action that all of us was hoping for. What a waste. This should've been balls to the wall uncensored bloody post apocalyptic dark gritty warfare action, but instead we'll be getting the usual run of the mill child safe PG fluff we have been getting for a long time. I think I'll keep my money.
