'Angels & Demons' Featurette: Take Me Down to Vatican City

There's a new featurette for Angels & Demons, which will probably reign as this summer's highest-grossing film not featuring aliens robots, teenage magic users, or super heroes.

It's the prequel to The Da Vinci Code, but I've heard, for the purposes of the film, it's functioning as a sequel. Of course, if the events of the first film happened in that fancy little universe, I don't think there'd be too many conventions of the Catholic Church left to worry about protecting in a sequel, but that's not the point of all this.

The latest Angels & Demons featurette goes into great length about the role of Vatican City within the structure of the Church, and how it serves as a tool in the film. The video is narrated by Ron Howard and Tom Hanks, and it is now officially impossible for me to hear Howard off-camera and not expect him to say something about Gob Bluth.

Angels & Demons will show up in theaters on May 15th. People aren't really talking about how big a summer heavyweight it can be, but you've got to be thinking at least $650 million worldwide here.
