Friday, April 17, 2009 at 11:05AM David Lynch Directs Moby's New Music Video
Director David Lynch's last film was the sprawling 2007 entry Inland Empire, but he's certainly been busy since. A prolific Twitterer, Lynch has been directing video projects (long-form and short-form) and lining up producing projects, too. We don't know exactly what his next feature film will be.

But the Mulholland Dr. filmmaker has directed a music video for Moby's new album Wait for Me. The tune is an instrumental called "Shot in the Back of the Head," and since Abe Lincoln was a big fan of electronica music, he'd totally appreciate the homage.
On his blog, which contains no capital letters, Moby explains Lynch's work on the video:
The album will be released on June 30th.

"i sent him the music and said, 'please do whatever you want'. so he sat down and drew some animation that is very dark and beautiful. david lynch is my favorite film director, and i'm really happy to have him as the first video director on 'wait for me'."
