Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 9:16PM Joss Whedon Holding Out Hope for 'Dollhouse'
It's going to be a tense couple weeks for a lot of TV shows. The networks are putting together
their fall schedules and if May doesn't explode for a few series, they're done. A lot of movie fans are concerned
about the fates of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse.

Sarah Connor is very likely dead. But Joss Whedon's Dollhouse hasn't had much of a chance, and since
Sarah Connor is its lead-in, you could argue the show has a real uphill battle on Friday, the worst prime
time night of the week. That is one of the reasons Whedon believes Fox will bring Eliza Dushku back.
"They haven't said anything about a number, and they haven't said anything about a date," Whedon told Sci-Fi Wire.
"What they have said is 'We get it. We get that the numbers are soft, but it's not a Nielsen world. The DVR numbers
are good, and the show's getting better, and the demographic is good, and we all have a crush on Eliza .'"
He added, "They're anxious for it to stay at a level where they can justify throwing down some more. Hopefully
that'll happen."
But just in case the show does find itself on the ropes like Sarah Connor, Whedon says he doesn't want a
"Save Dollhouse campaign." Yet.

"we've got a few more times up at bat. It's going to be up to the fans to be vocal in their own community to make sure people are watching, that we get those DVR numbers, that they don't slip. If they want to cold-call executives, that's good too, I guess. Or Twitter. A lot of people are Twittering. Ultimately, it's just holding the course, because I honestly began to think that we were dead in the water, and the people at Fox made a point of calling me to say, "That's not the case. We're still working it out. We're fans. We want this to work."

I really hope Fox keeps it around. What does Joss mean about cold-calling?
The show's fantastic to me, I've been waiting for a show like this for a while. Plus, I love being able to follow Joss & Eliza now. Back when Buffy was airing I wasn't watching it, now I'm a fanatic. It's nice being able to follow both of their work. Joss is just a genius, it doesn't get much better than him.
ahh, they'd better not cancel dollhouse! It's the only good thing about my friday nights :D
The only reason I watch FOX is because of this show.
