'Lions, Tigers, and Bears' Movie - Oh My

This might blow your mind, so brace yourself: Hollywood is making a movie out of a comic book. Let that bizarro world news sink in. Variety reports that Transformers producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura will develop Lions, Tigers, and Bears for Paramount. There's no script yet, just a pitch, based on the Runemaker comic by Mike Bullock about stuffed animals that come to life at night. It sounds like a dark family film, but not an impossilby dark one. The plan is to make this a live action film with a bunch of CGI to create the stuffed heroes. Paramount is quite high on the prospect of working with di Bonaventura, with three of the producers films in theaters this summer, Transformers, G.I. Joe, and the Eddie Murphy comedy Imagine That.
