Monday, April 20, 2009 at 6:01PM Summit Gearing Up for Fourth 'Twilight' Movie?
The Twilight saga is putting together sequels at a breakneck pace; New Moon is in production now and will be released in November and the third film, Eclipse is schedule for a June 2010 release. So what of Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final chapter? The Wrap says there are plans to go into production on that movie next spring, following the schedule being used for New Moon this year.

Summit Entertainment is putting all its eggs in this basket, and if Breaking Dawn does go in front of cameras a year from now and comes out in November 2010, that's four movies in two years. Not only is that a brutal schedule, but if there's anything to Stephenie Meyer's comments late last year, she wants two Breaking Dawn movies a la Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Would we then get a fifth film in summer 2011?
The Wrap acknowledges that there's nothing official on this Breaking Dawn stuff, and I tend to disagree that releasing it in 18 months is "logical." If anything, it would make more sense to release part one of Breaking Dawn in the summer of 2011 and wrap the whole series up that fall. Certainly, stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart don't want to be hooked to this franchise nearly every day for the next two-and-a-half years.
But what I do find interesting about this is comparing it to the Potter series, which will encompass 11 years and seven books. If Twilight continues to plow through installments in the franchise, that could change the way Hollywood sets up these big multi-title projects, especially if they have reasonable budgets.

Kill me. Ugh. This is so stupid. The least they could do is TRY and make a decent movie out of the next ones instead of the suckfest Twilight was.
i can't wait for the twilights yeah im in my 30's but i love the movies i like the romance just needs a little more action and better endings than the way they leave us hanging on until the next one comes out!!!
