'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Come Back to Life

Great, maybe this time they'll get it wrong again.

I was jumping out of my seat (that's hyperbole) when I saw the first trailer for the 2007 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, the one shortened to TMNT. The animation was great, and that was, I believed, how we were meant to see the Turtles. But the movie was terrible. No script. Does it every time.

However, The Mirage Group, which owns the rights to the Turtles, thinks there's still life in this property yet...so, we're getting another live action movie in 2011. This will be the fifth film total, and so far, they're maybe one-for-four. Probably not, because the last three drag down the first one, which wasn't that great to begin with.

I have to confess I don't see a whole lot of relevance to yet another Turtles flick, although the producers swear they're sticking to the original comic book. I guess I would hope and believe that there are dozens of other comic book titles that might be more cinematic or at least movie-friendly that producers should have their eye on instead.

The animated series was a lot better, in my mind, than anything in the movies, and I wonder why that's not the approach to take with it again. It just seems better suited for the episodic structure.

I don't know what your saying cause the first one was great. And the other two live action had its moment but definitely could have been better. I agree TMNT the script really didn't back it up. Especially cause i was a Donatello fan and they barely used him. And it seemed the best scenes were cut so short. Like the scene where they are fighting their way to the building towards the end, could have been so much better.

But I am looking forward to another one. And I think there is a need for these movies, if even for us who have loved them for so long.

Heroes and a half shell TURTLE POWER!

This first was one was great, and the second and third ok. Or until I purchased all three and watched them again to find the first one was ok, and the second and third barely watchable.
There production has always been good, turtles always looked great, but there was never ever a story.
If there making a another, call it a reboot( that will help) and give it a real story, dont forget to include Kasey Jones, we all love a vigalante, and as much as a guy wearing a hockey mask using bats to beat up criminals is not so PC today, it is still awesome.

TURTLE POWER FOREVER! If not, give Casey Jones an overhaul and hook him up with his own origin feature film. Who wouldn't love seeing it?
