Watch the First Seven Minutes of 'Brothers Bloom'

After a slight delay (or two), Rian Johnson's follow-up to Brick will hit theaters next month. The Brothers Bloom is a story of con men, and I love stories about con men. Mark Ruffalo and Adrien Brody play the brothers and Rachel Weisz is a millionairess along for the ride. Don't worry about Rachel Weisz just yet, though; the first seven minutes of The Brothers Bloom popped up on Hulu and we don't even see Ruffalo and Brody. Oh, the brothers are involved, as 10- and 13-year-old kids. It's backstory, narrated by the great Ricky Jay, who might be best known as the camera man in Boogie Nights. But Jay is more than just a character actor. He happens to be one of the greatest sleight of hand magicians ever, and he once held a record for throwing a playing card 195 feet at a rate of speed approaching 100 miles per hour. Yeah. Anyway, dig the first seven minutes of this. I did. The Brothers Bloom officially opens on May 29th.
