Sunday, April 26, 2009 at 4:56PM 'Attack of the Show' Hottie Olivia Munn Making Movies
Geek goddess Olivia Munn revealed on Twitter (via JoBlo) that she's been cast in two upcoming
films, and at least one of them is pretty high profile. The Attack of the Show co-host told her followers
that she'll be seen in the comedy Date Night, starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell.
She probably won't get a lot of scree time, but it's something.

The second film, which Munn says she is prohibiting from discussing in too much detail, will be an action film that
will require her to do some physical training.
Munn has to do some really low-level acting on Attack of the Show, and she's had a couple small roles before
in movies like Broken Lizard's The Slammin' Salmon and the straight-to-DVD Insanitarium. Does she have big screen potential? I dunno. But she's great on G4, and it certainly seems to fit her personality.
There are plenty cautionary tales about leaving TV success to try to become a movie star. Shelley Long, anyone? So I don't think it would be worth it to bolt a good thing to play Waitress #1 for a few years.

To be fair, "Waitress #1" is the TV role that Shelley Long left to pursue a movie career.
And Shelly Long was also playing a character on TV. I think a fairer comparison would be Kari Wuhrer. Anyone remember her?
Well, my point was that Shelley Long was on one of the most-watched shows on TV and only had a few highlights in movies. Ditto David Caruso back in the 1990s. If they had trouble, Olivia probably would, too.
But....Olivia is smoking hot so she'll be fine
