Ten New 'Star Trek' Images

This past week, there were a few surprise screenings of Star Trek, which tells me that Paramount and J.J. Abrams know not only that they has a hit coming out on May 8th but also that it's a pretty damn good flick. In short, this is probably better than the studio could have hoped for, especially given the reaction to the trailers, commercials, and all the rest. We'll address the total summer box office soon, and I think Trek is probably somewhere safely in the middle of the top ten. Could be as high as four, probably no worse than seven. And when you look at the history of the franchise, at least in terms of the ten movies they've made in almost 30 years, this is clearly going to the be the biggest hit of the bunch. Paramount has released ten new produciton photos from Star Trek, most of which are from scenes featured in the trailers and TV ads.
