'District 9' Trailer to Premiere with 'Wolverine'

I don't know that the viral marketing campaign for District 9 has worked out quite as well as Sony would have hoped to this point, but it's about to step it up a notch. The One Ring (via Cinema Blend) reports that the trailer for District 9 will accompany X-Men Origins: Wolverine in theaters this Friday. The film centers on aliens living as refugees in South Africa that discover a government agent who is exposed to their biotechnology. It's apparently a metaphor for Apartheid, which makes sense since director Neil Blomkamp hails from South Africa. Oh, and there are still some people who think this is the Halo movie, since Blomkamp was set to direct that for producer Peter Jackson, but nope, you'll just have to keep waiting for that, I'm afraid. Speaking of waiting, I would think the trailer would be a better fit in front of the similar Terminator: Salvation, but I guess kicks the virus back into high gear sooner.
