Friday, April 3, 2009 at 2:03AM Rumor Patrol: Tim Robbins Not In 'Iron Man 2'
It was generally accepted that Tim Robbins was joining the cast of Iron Man 2 as Howard
Stark, the father of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), in a flashback that would tie the Iron Man movies in
with the whole Avengers arc Marvel is running at us.

We accepted it because Latino Review is generally a very good source for this kind of information, and because it's
been several months now and there hadn't been a peep from Marvel about the details of the story being false. Until
now. Robbins spoke to Reel Talk and denied the whole thing.
"That was an internet rumor," said Robbins. "Can't trust those internets."
Well...sometimes you can. What we don't know is whether or not there were discussions and the deal fell apart or if there's nothing to it at
all. It would make sense on the surface: Robbins appeared in director Jon Favreau's Zathura a few years ago,
and if you've got a role you think would be good for Tim Robbins, you'd obviously try to go get Tim Robbins.
So now we're left to wonder if Howard Stark even appears in Iron Man 2 and if so, who will play it.
