Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 7:59PM Trailer - Adams and Streep are 'Julie & Julia'
I'll just put it out there like this: If you don't like the combination of Meryl Streep and Amy Adams, you have very little appreciation for really good actors. Streep is called the greatest at her chosen profession because she is. Or she can be; Cate Blanchett gets most of the roles the younger Meryl Streep would. Adams doesn't do anything death-defying as a general rule, but I've still never seen her give anything but a great performance.

They were both nominated for Doubt, and now they've moved on to lighter fare, in the film version of the best-selling book, Julie & Julia. Streep plays Julia Child, who until the recent rise of celebrity chefs, was the best known cook alive. Adams is Julie Powell, who wrote about about following Child's recipes everyday for a year.
The book began as Powell's blog, which looks like it was last updated in August 2004, the day after Child passed away.
