Monday, April 6, 2009 at 1:10AM Terrence Howard On Marvel's "Very Bad Choice"
Calling Marvel's decision to lowball just about everyone involved in the Iron Man franchise "a
very bad choice," former Jim "Rhodey" Rhodes, Terrence Howard, accused the studio of not keeping its word.

In a new interview at Sci Fi Wire, Howard said, "They didn't honor our contract. They
sent everyone out into a field and told them to work and produce a great bounty."
"You produce a great bounty, and then when it's all in the storehouse, you are not allowed into the storehouse," added the
actor, clearly caught mid-metaphor. He goes on to say that he heard Gwyneth Paltrow was also subject to Marvel's
negotiating practices for next year's Iron Man 2, and the cases of Samuel L. Jackson, Mickey Rourke, and director Jon Favreau have been well-documented.
"One of the things that actors need to learn to do is take a tip from Friends," Howard advised, citing that hit show's
ensemble, which held out for higher salaries as a unit. "You always choose to stick together. One for all and all for one."
But he doesn't begrudge Don Cheadle his old role. "Don Cheadle is the reason I got on Crash," he said. "He was one of
the producers on Crash, and he called and got me in there."
"So it's like Don is good by me, anything he does. He's given me the greatest gift I could ever imagine having. Don gave me
that, so anything I have, I'll share with him."
It's still almost unfathomable to me that Marvel would have such high hopes for all its projects and then offers indie movie
money to the names it hopes will attract bigger audiences. According to some reports, Scarlett Johansson is getting $400,000
up front for her role as Black Widow. I could understand it if this were a big unknown, but if Marvel really doubts it will
have much of a profit margin on Iron Man 2, why is it even making the sequel?

I'm still wondering how the hell Scarlett Johansson gets work.
Thanks to the incredibly overrated nitwit Gwyenth Paltrow, ScarJo won't even be the worst actress in it!
Your both idiots.
Hey, at least I don't have a self-absorbed website where I claim shampoo gives kids cancer; oh wait, I actually do!
Answer to first poster: BOOBS
Response to second poster: think what you will of Ms. Paltrow's carreer, but she was very good in Iron Man and one of the reasons that the film turned out as good as it did.
Third poster: despite the fact that you mispelled a full third of your comment, you are correct, sir.
Fourth poster: ...ummm... wha?
Response to original article: It's a shame that Marvel chose to conduct business this way, but let's be honest. Nobody's going to miss Terrence Howard in the sequel.
