Brand New 'Where the Wild Things Are' Poster

So far, I'm doing backflips over the stuff we've seen for Where the Wild Things Are, and I say that as a generally reserved guy when it comes to this sort of thing. But in large part because there were so many obstacles for the film getting to this point (like, oh, re-shooting the whole damn thing), the fact that it looks so much like I hoped it would at the outset is fantastic news. The first poster ruled, the production photos were cool, and then the trailer was just so beautifully out there that it was hard not to get a little bit excited. Of course, that kind of puts the pressure on director Spike Jonze to deliver, but you wouldn't take on this project under any other conditions. Here's the second Wild Things poster, courtesy of IMP Awards. Admittedly, some of the novelty has worn off, but I still dig it. Reminds me of being in third grade all over again... Where the Wild Things Are is only five months away; it'll be in theaters on October 16th.
