Seven New Entertainingly Awful 'Dragonball' Clips
Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 11:04AM
We told you over the weekend that Dragonball Evolution wouldn't screen for critics. That's usually a bad sign, because if it were so great, wouldn't you want people to praise it for free in the papers and online?

But what if it's not cut out for critics? Well, see, now you're just being silly; I watched Hannah Montana last night, so there's no reason in the world Dragonball would be at least as critic-friendly as that. No, the only reason to not screen a movie for the press, if you're a big studio like Fox, is if you're afraid the film will be savaged and you'd rather people have no reviews at all on Friday when they make their movie decisions for the weekend than a review saying it's one of the worst flicks of the year.
We'll still see it, so don't worry about that; there are bound to be plenty of midnight showings Friday. But Fox is sure trying to keep the bad press to a minimum. Why? Please enjoy - if that's the right word - the latest collection of clips from Dragonball Evolution, and I think that reason will come into clearer focus.

How could any of the actors involved think that what they were making was worth doing so. They're clearly not fans of the anime or manga. If they were such then they would never have thought this was a good idea.
STOP HATING
this movie looks really dragonballish honestly is it going to win a oscar? doubt it. Is it going to be a fun action paked movie? ofcourse. relax and just watch it
I got something to say!
Hey, bunch of dick heads, did any of you people ever watched Dragon Ball, the anime? 'Cause I do. Dragon Ball is funny and it has great action moments.
This movie is not suppose to be a copy of the anime series, is suppose to be a new level of Dragon Ball, it´s a different kind. The story is diferent, so stop of hating this movie, cause Dragon ball evolution will kick ass.
Idiots: the people in it, the people making it, and the people who think it will be worth spending money especially after viewing those heinous clips.
I'm going to be seeing this regardless. If I'm right and it's horrible, I will get a good laugh. If it's good then I'll be pleasently surprised. And if it feels like Dragonball then at least I can enjoy that too. (I enjoyed the original, though not one of the fanatical fans I've met before who, upon hearing I enjoyed the series, start bombarding me with requests of my favorite bits, analysis, etc.)
However, I'm pretty sure Goku never kicked a bug into his enemies mouth in order to beat them up. Why didn't he ever try that on Vegeta?
..oh right, giant super monkey death cannon. That's why.
Oh yeah but ....
Goku's in high school?? And he's the only American one of them all... and he uses his powers for the big, bad purpose of opening lockers.
Can you imagine learning a powerful, mystic move that will save the human race, and using it's powers simply for mundane tasks?
