Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 1:37AM Actual Gameplay Footage from 'Wolverine' Game
We've been following the progression of the video game companion to X-Men Origins: Wolverine
for a few months, and in addition to having really cool trailers, the designers of the game promise that the action is a little more graphic than what you'll see in the movie.

The game actually comes out on May 1st, the same day as the film, so I guess you can buy the game, then watch the movie, then play the game and make it a big-ass Wolverine weekend. Trailers are a different story than the actual gameplay, because so often, you never see much of the game in the trailer, but rather the cut scenes between stages of the game.
So it's kind of cool to get a look at the real thing from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Here's what it'll look like if you're Logan strapped to a helicopter. Oh, and former Fox News columnist Roger Friedman illegally downloaded this clip and loved it, so that's about as good an endorsement as you can get.

Not bad, huh? I wish instead of three parts of the same scene we got to see a little more variety, but I'll take it for now. Wolverine is coming out on PS2, PSP, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, DS, and PC formats.

It looked awesome, but this is not gameplay. Only the first couple seconds when he jumps up at the helicopter, and when he's falling from the first copter steering onto the second one, are real gaemplay sequnces where you control the character. I'm not getting this game, I'll save my money for Batman: Arkham Asylum.
