Trailer - Robert Rodriguez' Kid-Friendly 'Shorts'

There's a little news on the Sin City front today. Apparently, the Weinstein Company has lost its rights to the sequel to a private equity group, which might mean it would become more of a priority, if for no other reason than it would take the film out of Harvey and Bob's hands and will be pitched to other distributors. Before we get there, though, Robert Rodriguez is continuing to stay busy. He's written and directed another family movie a la Spy Kids called Shorts, which will be in theaters this summer. Though there are some adults whose names and faces you recognize - William H. Macy, James Spader, Leslie Mann, Kat Dennings, and Jon Cryer - the trailer is almost all about the kids. The visual effects look nice, and per his usual M.O., Rodriguez has transformed Austin, Texas into a whole new world.
