Blah '2012' Poster

It's been a rough road lately for 2012. The new Roland Emmerich disaster movie (and I apologize for that redundancy) was going to be a summer blockbuster that was pushed back to November, and then where were weak trailers and awful, awful, awful viral videos.

Now there's a new poster that doesn't exactly move the needle. Perhaps it's because this just feels like a movie from 1998. No offense, but it's not exactly the salad days of John Cusack's and Woody Harrelson's careers, and they're the names we're supposed to respond to the most. If I were giving a letter grade, I'd say that this movie stumbled out of the blocks and might have a C- in marketing.

The end of the world isn't until 2012, but it's showing up on November 13th.

Well, the movie itself doesn't sound promising - the theme has been done million times before and it is a big yawn, BUT check out a new poster: http://www.movies.ie/news/New_2012_poster__We_Were_Warned and the very last line. Maybe it doesn't tell you much, but trust me on this - lots and I mean LOTS of people will go to that movie just to hear Adam Lambert sing the song....no matter how cheesy the name of it is or how crappy the film is or how they hate the whole genre...and I'm one of them.
