Ah yes, the rare Stellan Skarsgård movie poster...

The venerable character actor has popped up in a fair amount of blockbusters over the past five years or so, memorably in the Pirates of the Caribbean series as Will Turner's barnacled father, and less memorably in Mamma Mia!. This summer, Skarsgård will play Richter in Angels & Demons, although a character with that name doesn't exist in Dan Brown's book. I suppose that's a change from "Rocher", who is not a character in the film.
And yes, Skarsgård does indeed have his own poster...albeit a Russian one. Check him out side-by-side with Ewan McGregor:

Stellan Skarsgård is one of those actors who are overrated without even being particularly famous.
He actually only has one role and that is a slow, sad and rather bemused character that turns up in various movies for no apparent reason.
That character single-handedly ruined Milos Forman's "Goya's Ghost", effectively cancelling strong performances by Javier Bardem and Natalie Portman.
I actually liked him in Goya's Ghosts and nearly mentioned that in the article.
Blimey, I didn't think he made any sense in that role. There was no explanation how a quiet, subservient man, as portrayed by Skarsgård, could paint such bold, angry and insulting paintings and get away with it.
