New 'Potter' Posters Are Ready for Their Close-Ups

It's fair to say I haven't been overwhelmed by the poster for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I recently lumped them into a collection of '09 one-sheets that were categorized as "bleh." There's a new set of Potter posters from IMP Awards, and while I'm not saying these are playing for keeps, they do have more immediacy, probably because of the close-up shots of the three magic-using scamps and the kindly old Santa Claus fella what runs that school of witchcraft and conjurin'. The color scheme is the same, and I do prefer it when a movie doesn't stray too far from the original concept. These are just an improvement on that approach. We have Half-Blood Prince as the number two movie at the summer box office. What say you?
