New 'Transformers' Trailer

Last night, there was a big nationwide event launching the new trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Theaters in about 20 cities premiered the trailer in front of a special screening of the first Transformers, and there were costume contests and lots more. But the highlight here is the new trailer, which, as it should, showcase all of those remarkable effects. I don't expect much out of the story, but as sheer spectacle, it looks like a pretty engrossing experience. Oh, and Megan Fox, who is a special effect unto herself. I could do without the first 30 seconds or so, but after that, it really picks up:

Amazing. I have to "sigh" when I hear people bashing on Transformers. My feeling is only people who truly love movies can enjoy stuff like this. This is simply a fun time at the theater. There's little story, little thinking, and no emotional investment ( unless you cry when transformers die...I'm sure there are a few haha). I guess some people expect those qualities out of a movie, based on cartoon, that's about giant CGI robots beating the crap out of eachother...

Oh well....I shall be there with my large popcorn and lemonheads. Looks like Bay really outdid himself this time...can't wait!

I didn't like the first Transformers, so I know I'll hate this one. The only driving force to make me want to see Transformers 2 is expecting more visuals similar to Megan Fox on that motorcycle.
