Harvey Dent Goes Hybrid: Eckhart Voices Ford Ads
Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 7:49PM
Celebrity voiceover work is incredibly profitable. I'd say that Jeff Bridges is
probably the best in the business right now, with his work for Hyundai and Duracell, but there are plenty
of actors in the game: Kevin Spacey has made some Honda commercials, Gene Hackman does voice work for
Lowe's, James Spader is the voice of Acura, John Corbett has enjoyed a great second career doing
commercials, currently cashing in on Applebee's ads, and of course, Gilbert Gottfried is the voice of the
AFLAC duck.

Now Aaron Eckhart has gone into the sound booth, lending his voice to a series of new ads for the 2010
Ford Fusion. Eckhart is best known to mainstream audiences as Harvey Dent/Two-Face in The Dark
Knight, but has a career stretching back over a decade. He's a sure bet. I'd see an Aaron Eckhart
movie just because he's in it, and I've seen Suspect Zero and The Core, so, that should tell you how much faith I have in the guy.
Here are Eckhart's first three ads for the Ford Motor Company, pitching the redesigned Fusion:
You can next see Eckhart in theaters in the September flick, Brand New Day, co-starring Jennifer
Aniston and Martin Sheen.
