Video from Pixar's 'Up': Meet Dug the Dog

When you see Pixar's Up later this month, you'll probably come away from it as I did, thinking Dug the dog stole the show. That's quite a feat, as it turns out. You see, I thought Up looked pretty average in trailers and clips, but it's actually one of my favorite Pixar movies ever, and I say this as a guy who has put three of the last four Pixar movies in his top ten of the year.

Dug wears a collar invented by his master (Christopher Plummer) that allows him to speak to whomever he encounters. In this case, that's Carl (Ed Asner) and Russell (Jordan Nagai), who have flown by balloon-propelled house from North America to South America to fulfill Carl's lifelong dream.

We've got two Dug videos, the first encounter Carl and Russell have with him, and a featurette with various clips of Dug throughout the film plus commentary from the filmmakers:

I'm telling you, Dug flat out steals it. Check out Up in standard format and 3-D on May 29th.
