Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 2:02PM First Poster for Horror Remake 'Sorority Row'
We've thoroughly detailed what a good year it has been for horror movie remakes. My Bloody Valentine, Friday the 13th, and The Last House on the Left are all better than they should be, and they did pretty well financially, making about $200 million worldwide between them.

So clearly, the genre is playing with house money. You can't expect this trend to continue forever. And to that end, here's the first teaser poster for Sorority Row. I would say there's a pretty low bar set for this one. The original - The House on Sorority Row - is hardly an all-timer, and the cast this time around includes Audrina Patridge from The Hills in a smallish role. Also, it looks exactly like I Know What You Did Last Summer, which would have been fine a decade ago. Now I'm not so sure.
But I do like the slogan on the poster, so that's something.

Horror has done well over the last year to 18 months, but there's a lot on the docket between now and October 2nd, when this one's released. It really picks up at the end of August, when you get Halloween and Final Destination, and September has two or three on the way, as well. Will audiences need a break by the time October rolls around or would it matter if this was the only horror movie all year?

looks good but probably not as good as the first one. The only thing that will be better than the old one is the girls are way hotter now
