Recent Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black is building on the momentum from his
Milk screenplay, signing on to direct his script, What's Wrong with Virginia?. The film will
star Liam Neeson and Jennifer Connelly, with Milk director Gus Van Sant executive producing.

Connelly will play "the charming but psychologically disturbed mother of a 16-year-old son," according to Variety. For two
decades, she has been carrying on a hush-hush affair with Neeson, who portrays a sheriff running for the
state senate. Their relationship becomes strained when his daughter starts dating her son. Let's see...20-
year affair, 16-year-old son, dating the...yep, sounds like incest to me.
The film will shoot in Michigan later this summer and it appears that once this film is complete, Black
and Van Sant will begin work on an adatpation of Tom Wolfe's Electric Kool-Aid Test, which
certainly shows some promise.
In case you're wondering, Black has directed before, though nothing with the kind of profile as this
project has. He's also been a producer on Big Love this season, in addition to a few other credits, so it's not like he's coming in with limited experience.
