Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 3:59AM 'G.I. Joe' Trailer Gets Domesticated
There's a new international trailer for G.I. Joe, another movie with an unnecessary subtitle (The Rise of Cobra). Really, the first movie should just be G.I. Joe and then if there are sequels - and those odds are at least even - tack on the subtitles then.

Anyway, we saw this trailer a couple of days ago, but it was saddled with French subtitles. Now it's been released without all those pesky words on the screen.

I haven't given much thought to whether or not this movie will be good. I guess the visuals, stunts, and action might stand out, but can it achieve what Transformers did a couple of years ago? That's definitely what they're shooting for, but I don't know that I get that vibe.
We'll find out on August 7th.

I wonder if the credits will read " Stephen Sommers directs A Michael Bay Film". This looks absolutely nuts...
This movie is bound to suck, another streetfighter if you ask me. Thats what they get for taking an Amercian GI inspired creation and turning him into a brussel based outfit.
Neat action, but I am still on the fence about this one. It could so easily fall into the land of cheesy, or it could suffer from too many characters. We'll see....
Let's not be overly critical. Not everything is equally awesome or ground breaking like the Terminator series or Tansformers but that does not mean it is not very cool and this looks very cool.
Remind me of the League of extraordinary gentlemen.
Could be good mummy like popcorn fun, or it could be like LOEG
