Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 6:21AM Trailer - Seth MacFarlane's 'The Cleveland Show'
TV spin-offs are hard to figure. For example, Happy Days launched, what, three different
shows? Laverne & Shirley and Mork & Mindy were perennial top ten hits, while
Chachi Wants to Put a Baby Up in Joanie was a disaster, lasting only 17 episodes. And don't
even get me started on After M*A*S*H.

So when Seth MacFarlane decided to give one of his Family Guy characters his own show, it
might mess with the chemistry of that one and may not be strong enough to vie for ratings on its
own. Fox loves giving the animated series a wide berth, so they won't be quick to yank The
Cleveland Show off the air if it doesn't immediately catch on.
I love Cleveland Brown, but he's not really Frasier Crane, is he? I mean, some characters are just
crafted to serve other peoples' stories, and I think that's the deal here. There's a brand new
extended trailer for the show, which showcases the new characters, and features a hilarious dig at
Jennifer Aniston. Beyond that, it's not knocking me out of my chair or anything.
Have a look:
The Cleveland Show will air Sunday nights at 8:30 Eastern on Fox.

Stewie is without question the most popular but a show with just him would be very pinky & the brain or Dexters laboratory. I think quagmire would make for a good show, all be it one better suited for adult swims late night block then anything else.
Cleveland is by far my least favorite character. His voice is like nails on a chalk board to me... I don't know why but it is
gonna be lame

won't be watching this.... i love family guy.. .but COME ON! Cleveland compliments the cast of Family Guys nicely, but in no way deserves a show based on his character. American Dad is bad enough; but now we're gonna have 2 other animated series piggy-backing off of the formula that has mad Family Guy successfull. American Dad hasn't, in my opinion, drained the quality of Family Guy, but I'm concerned here. What is Seth MacFarlane's involvement in this? I don't want to see my favorite animated series be comprimised by this.
It looks like a giant flop
