'Funny People' Goes Viral: Jason Schwartzman in 'Yo Teach!'

Judd Apatow's Funny People makes some showbiz industry asides while developing a story about a comedian-turned-actor (Adam Sandler) who tries to forge a genuine friendship for the first time in years upon learning that he has cancer. He seeks out a young comic on the rise (Seth Rogen), and one of Rogen's friends is Mark (Jason Schwartzman), an actor who is starring in a new NBC show called Yo Teach!

Of course, Mark is fictional and so is the show (even though it has a page at NBC.com), but these behind-the-scenes videos of Yo Teach! were created to give a little viral flavor to Funny People, which otherwise seems like an unlikely candidate for viral marketing.

Schwartzman is great in these videos, as you would probably expect, and now, really for the first time, I have quite a bit of hope for Funny People. Previously, I just thought it looked OK.

The new Judd Apatow movie is due out on July 31st.
