Monday, May 4, 2009 at 12:45PM New 'Inglourious Basterds' Poster with Eli Roth
We showed you the first character poster from Inglourious Basterds a few days ago,
featuring Brad Pitt sporting a giant neck scar. Quentin Tarantino's WWII movie features a team of bloodthirsty Jewish-
American soldiers who are on the hunt for Nazi scalps.

Basterds is the last major release of the summer, hitting theaters on August 21st, but it will debut at
Cannes in just a matter of days. Of course, Cannes loves QT, so I expect we'll hear plenty of great things about it
coming out of the French Riviera.
Leading up to Cannes, there's a new character poster featuring Eli Roth, who's not really known as an actor. Still, I think we're better off with him in front of the camera than behind it. I mean, it promises to be bloody enough; no need to go Hostel on this thing.

I like this guy Eli Roth, I think he has talent behind the camera.
Ive never seen him in anything that I can remember in front of the camera so well see how he does in Inglourious Basterds.
But I have to say The Hostel Movies were underrated by most. They were pretty well done in my opinion and this guy knows how to make the viewer shake, be terrified, horrified, grossed out, and disgusted.
Id like to see more things from this guy as a director....
Colin what do YOU say? lol
The first one was OK. The second Hostel movie I had very little use for. And Cabin Fever started strongly, but had a bad third act by comparison.
Hostel is maybe the worst movie I've ever paid money to see... but his Thanksgiving trailer was the best one in the grindhouse double-bill (and that says a lot because Don't, Werewolf Women of the SS and Machete... even Hobo with a Shotgun... were all amazing). He looks good in the Basterds trailer though so I'm cool with him in front of the camera.
I think it's great that Eli Roth is working w/ QT so often. Perhaps he can pick something up from the guy. I think he (Roth) shows promise, and working w/ Tarantino's not going to hurt.
