Hugh Jackman Already Developing 'Wolverine' Sequel

Well, isn't Hugh Jackman the new busiest man in Hollywood? The star of X-Men Origins: Wolverine and his Seed Productions - a regrettable company name when you think about it for four-and-a-half seconds - have been lining up multiple projects in the past couple of days.

First there was the graphic novel adaptation Ghostopolis, and now Variety reports that Jackman might pick up the rights to Personal Security, which sounds a lot like The Bodyguard, and, oh yeah, they're making another Wolverine movie.

Those moves come in addition to a couple other films, Drive and a re-staging of Carousel which might co-star Jackman and Anne Hathaway. But the big news, expected as it might seem, is the Wolverine sequel.

One of the Easter eggs at the end of the new Wolverine flick indicates what might be next for Jackman's clawed mutant, but I don't want to give it away, other than to say konnichiwa.

That's not set in stone, but it would make sense for the progression of the character, and it could help re-focus a franchise that made a few missteps in the eyes of critics and audience members with X-Men Origins.

Variety also reports that Jackman will return to Broadway next year in the title role in Houdini, so he won't get much time off for anything in the next couple of years. Strike while the iron's hot, I guess.
