One More Off-Putting 'Pandorum' Poster

It just barely missed the cut for our Other Summer Movies discussion, but Pandorum looks like some creepy science fiction along the lines of the original Alien. I'm not comparing its quality to Alien, because that would be foolish, especially without seeing Pandorum, but that's what the trailer reminded me of most.

I say that because in the wake of Star Wars, space movies became even bigger and noisier than they were before, and then Alien came along and it was claustrophobic, dark, and ominous. Those three adjectives seem to fit Pandorum pretty well, so we'll see what director Christian Alvart has up his sleeve on September 4th, which explains why this movie isn't in our summer movie conversation.

Crave (via First Showing) debuted a brand new teaser poster for Pandorum, which is a little better suited to multiplex marquees than the first one:

I like the possibilities with Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster in this, and again, the trailer and posters at the very least set it apart from a lot of its contemporaries.
