Watch the First Three Minutes of Coppola's 'Tetro'
Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 12:59PM
We showed you the trailer for Francis Ford Coppola
's Tetro
over the weekend, and while
the cinematography looks terrific, the story is hard to grasp.

What we know about Tetro, Coppola's first script since The Conversation over 35 years ago, is that it's a family drama set in Argentina. Bennie (Alden Ehrenreich
) travels to Buenos Aires to look for his older brother, Tetro (Vincent Gallo
), who has been missing for over 10 years. When the brothers reunite, old conflicts and secrets rise to the surface.
Now Coppola has released the first three minutes of his new film, and even though it's mostly just a credits sequence, you can again see how beautifully it's photographed, so kudos to cinematographer Mihai Malaimare, Jr., who also lensed Coppola's Youth Without Youth, notable also for the way it looked.
Tetro will begin its run in the U.S. on June 11th.
